AI Workflows & Automation: It Ain't Magic, It's Method!

Recently I sat down with Jonathan Mast, the Godfather of AI to tackle the topic of using AI to AMPLIFY YOUR BRAND (watch the full interview HERE).
In 2023 we were all geeked about all the "cool" things we could do with AI. You know, like generating an image of "Winnie the Pooh as a dragon slayer" or getting ChatGPT to "write my bio". And how we could do "All the things" with just A PROMPT.
I recall sharing my Winnie The Pooh masterpiece with my niece and NOT getting the anticipated response. Instead she quipped "but what are you gonna DO with it". I didn't have a good answer, I mean it was fun. IT WAS MAGIC!
Fast forward to 2024 and I was PAST all the fun and I wanted to find more functional use for AI. So I focused a lot more on how AI USE CASES. I mean going from ideation to execution. We're talking about workflows and automations people.
AI AIN'T MAGIC, IT'S METHOD.
Now how do you convert the magic of AI into a work method?
WORKFLOWS
Simply put, a workflow is your step-by-step game plan for getting stuff DONE. It maps out each move you need to make, from start to finish, so you're not just wingin’ it.
Example AI Workflow for a Social Media Post:
STAGE 1: ChatGPT
Brainstorm post ideas with ChatGPT
Generate a caption with strong hooks
STAGE 2: Canva AI
Generate a stunning image
Create a scroll-stopping graphic
STAGE 3: Platform Scheduler
Upload your post to the scheduler inside your desired platform
Now, your content is flowing like Cardi B on a hot beat — smooth, loud, and unapologetically you.
NOTE: You might be tempted to use 3rd party scheduling tools, but post platforms frown on this and supress your content reach.
AUTOMATION
Automation works two ways. 1. Set and forget REPETITIVE tasks. 2. STREAMLINE your processes by automating certain tasks.
Example AI Automation For List Building:
STAGE 1: Textiful
Have event attendees text you to get a freebie (this works for live and virtual events)
Textiful collects their email address and adds it to your CRM
STAGE 2: ConvertKit (CRM)
Sends a “Confirmation” email with a link to the freebie
Sends scheduled email series with more offers
Set it, test it, tweak it, and let it run while you sip wine and binge-watch "The Chi."
BOTTOM LINE
If you wanna get the real bag with AI, don’t just play around with it — put it to WORK. Turn your AI antics into assets by building workflows that are tight and automations that are right.
